About Us
Pest Animal Control was established in 2014 to serve the needs of farmers and commercial businesses in the Hawkesbury Valley who were experiencing enormous losses by foxes, rabbits birds and rats. Since then, our customer base and the regions we cover has grown significantly, to include an office in the Manning Valley and clients across NSW. The range of pest animal species we humanely destroy has also grown to include feral pigs, feral deer, goats, wild dogs, foxes, cats, birds and rats.
Pest animal eradication is our critical conservation strategy, to protect native biodiversity from the threat of introduced vertebrates. We believe we have a general biosecurity duty to prevent, eliminate, or minimise the risks posed by invasive species to our environment.
Firearms Licensing
NSW Category A/B/D Vertebrate pest animal control (VPAC) - shooting on rural land.
NSW Category A/B Business or employment - Business other - shooting on non-rural land.
NSW Prohibited Weapons Permit (Silencer) - noise suppression of firearms.
Accreditations
AHCPMG304 – Use firearms to humanely destroy animals
AMPGAM303 – Use firearms to safely and humanely harvest wild game (Kangaroo harvester)
AMPSS00018 – Game harvester skill set
Vertebrate pesticide induction training (VPIT)
AQF3 Chemical Accreditation
(While we are fully qualified and are able to implement vertebrate pesticide treatments, we choose not to recommend poisons or biological agents to clients. We believe these methods can lead to prolonged suffering and present unacceptable risks to non-target species, including livestock, working dogs, and native wildlife.)
Insurance
$20M public liability policy held for conducting professional contract shooting operations.
